As a subsidiary of Siemens AG Österreich and of the hospital operator TILAK, the Innsbruck-based company ITH icoserve offers services for clinical information systems and develops solutions for multimedia patient records as well as health networks and electronic medical records. Innovative R&D projects in the area of eHealth, such as real-time localisation of people (protection of disoriented patients, protection of staff) and machines are part of the portfolio as well. In the scope of the Laura Bassi Centre of Expertise QE LaB, ITH icoserve will further develop the security of its IT applications in cooperation with the University of Innsbruck: “The protection and security of applications and data is of the utmost importance in the health system”, says managing director Mag. Claudius Kaloczy. This is why ITH icoserve considers cooperation with competent partners in science to be very important. “We have been working in the field of information security with Prof. Breu and the Institute of Computer Science for years. The Laura Bassi Centre QE LaB allows us to continue on this joint path so as to remain at the technological and scientific forefront”, says Kaloczy.
